Katie, I am so glad to know you liked that recipe! I'll be making it for Christmas this year (summer here, so Xmas and cherry season happen at the same time). Lovely photos! I'm off to check out your other recipes now.

I can bring my cherry pitter. I know how to light the gas grill, but not a charcoal one (which is the kind we have). Also, fyi, no way I'm gonna be doing the Stonington Six in one week.... but I'll do breakfast after!

Yum - you can make this for us in Maine. I don't have a cherry pitter but we can eat it AFTER our training run. I can also teach you how to light the grill - it'll take 30 seconds. Great mouthwatering photos. Double yum - Benson's!

Hi Miya - Great idea about the light cream. I actually don't like my ice cream to taste too creamy and rich, so using lower fat dairy will a. help it freeze, b. be better for me, and c. be what I like! Glad you enjoy the blog :-)

Hi Katie, I love your blog and we have a lot of the same things on our bucket lists (I'm from New England too). The harbor islands are wonderful! P.S. I loved your lemon buttermilk ice cream idea but I made mine without the cream so it turned out way too solid and icy. Maybe try making your ice creams with light cream or half and half and see if they come out more solid? I'm new to ice cream too but my favorite salted caramel ice cream recipe works well that way.
