Kate - I did use my favorite vanilla cupcake recipe and added about a tablespoon of fresh, grated wasabi to enough batter for 6 cupcakes (I made the other half plain). A TBS seemed like a lot to me, but I still couldn't reallly taste it coming through the cupcake. I would taste your batter as you add the wasabi, and add a little bit more than you think you need, as the flavor seemed to diminish after being baked. Good luck!

Stumble upon this while I was looking for a wasabi cupcake recipe. You are indeed very creative!!! Would it be possible for you to post the recipe for the cupcake? Is it a simple vanilla cupcake with wasabi added to the batter?
